Moveset: Arithmeticks – Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician
Ability Name | JP Cost |
CT | 250 |
Level | 350 |
EXP | 200 |
Height | 250 |
Prime | 300 |
Multiple of 5 | 200 |
Multiple of 4 | 400 |
Multiple of 3 | 600 |
Arithmetician gets two different types of skill. A target, and then a number. First you pick the target (CT, Level, EXP, Height), and then you pick the number that target should be divisible by (5, 4, 3, or Prime). All characters on the map, enemy or ally, with the target stat divisible by the selected amount become targets of the selected spell. You can select any spell that you’ve learned from any class, and it will cast instantly. Using this strategy, you can target most, if not all, characters on the map with incredibly damaging spells like Flare and Holy and instantly cast the spell.
Reaction Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician
Ability Name | JP Cost |
Cup of Life | 200 |
Soulbind | 300 |
Cup of Life is a pretty forgettable skill. When you heal yourself, the overflow healing gets distributing among your party members. Soulbind, on the other hand, is kind of interesting. Every time you take damage, you heal yourself for half of it and reflect half of it back to your attacker. This is not a bad Reaction Ability at all. It’s both defensive and offensive.
Support Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician
Ability Name | JP Cost |
EXP Boost | 350 |
EXP Boost, as you’d expect, increases the EXP you gain from all actions. This isn’t all that useful. JP Boost tends to be more useful in almost every situation and Arithmetician is such a late game class, you’re not likely to get too much mileage out of this. Still, if you’re doing the level up/level down strategy (which is tremendously time-consuming), you may want this skill to make it go a little bit faster.
Movement Abilities – Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician
Ability Name | JP Cost |
Accrue EXP | 400 |
Accrue JP | 400 |
Both of these skills help you advance your character as you move. They’re both not very useful, but could find use purely in terms of grinding.
Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician Overall Assessment
Most people see this class as being extraordinarily broken. Which is true. You can equip your entire team with equipment that absorbs certain elements in order to devastate all enemies while fully healing your team. Personally, I think it’s a ton of extra effort for something only slightly more broken than other broken characters (Orlandeau, Dark Knights, Iaido Reis, etc). It is a very strong skillset, though. You definitely want to use the moveset on a different class, because Arithmetician has both bad growths and bad multipliers.
That about covers it for the Final Fantasy Tactics Arithmetician Class. Be sure to check out the Games Section for more content like this and click here for more game guides related to FFT.
