Persona 5 Royal Satanael Build Best Skills

This is a Persona 5 Royal Satanael build guide, featuring 3 different amazing endgame Satanael builds.

If you’re playing Persona 5 Royal and you’ve beaten the game, you’re probably excited to pick up Satanael and build him into the ultimate Persona. In vanilla Persona 5, Satanael wasn’t all that great since he couldn’t max his stats on account of the level cap. However, Persona 5 Royal Satanael can use incenses to max out as many of Satanael’s stats as you like. Because of this and a few unique skills Satanael gains, he’s now the powerhouse Persona he was always intended to be. Definitely top tier.

When you’re making a Persona 5 Royal Satanael build, there are essentially 3 different builds where he really stands above what other Personas are capable of. These are: Gun Build, Almighty Build and Elemental Variety Build.

Gun – Persona 5 Royal Satanael Build

Because only Satanael gets Tyrant’s Mind, which stacks with Gun Boost and Gun Amp, he’s unquestionably the strongest Gun user in the game. No one gets an overpowered unique Gun skill like Yoshitsune’s Hassou Tobi or Kaguya’s Shining Arrows, so when it comes to guns, whoever can power up Riot Gun the most is simply the best. And that honor goes to Satanael.

Here’s the build you’re going to want when you’re making a Satanael focused on Gun Damage:

Riot GunTyrant’s Mind
Arms MasterVictory Cry
Gun BoostFirm Stance
Gun AmpApt Pupil

Note the Satanael’s amazing trait, Pagan Allure, doesn’t do anything for this build, so feel free to replace it with Sword God from Futsunushi if you can manage to get it onto him. Sword God increases the effect of Charge from 2.5x to 3x damage.

However, if you want to take advantage of Satanael’s powerful Pagan Allure trait, you might want to use a magic-oriented build…

Almighty – Persona 5 Royal Satanael Build

Almighty is probably the strongest overall build for Satanael. He does more damage with Almighty skills that other Personas and he’s able to achieve this build incredibly easily (you can usually make it simply by fusing Satanael the very first time, assuming you’ve been using Lucifer as an Almighty Persona).

MegidolaonTyrant’s Mind
Black ViperMagic Ability
Almighty BoostFirm Stance
Almighty AmpVictory Cry

Note that to acquire Almighty Boost, Almighty Amp and Magic Ability, you have to make use of Network fusion. Each of those skills will be randomly granted whenever you do a Network Fusion. You have a decently high chance of acquiring them.

This skillset combined with Pagan Allure pretty much ensures that every random encounter in the game will be destroyed with a single cast and Megidolaon, and bosses won’t last long when hit with Black Viper.

The only reason you wouldn’t want to use this build is if you already have Lucifer built up for Almighty Damage. Almighty Satanael is stronger, but Lucifer is incredibly strong and has a better Almighty Spell (Morning Star), so Satanael isn’t that much stronger.

If you want a magic role that no Persona can fill besides Satanael, you might want to try…

Elemental Variety – Persona 5 Royal Satanael Build

Usually to power up a Persona to do maximum damage with an elemental type, you need to give them the Boost, Amp and Magic Ability skills, as well as the magic spell itself, taking up 4 slots. Persona 5 Royal Satanael, however, gets Tyrant’s Mind (Amp All) and can be combined with Magic Ability (Boost All) as well as his Pagan Allure trait (+50% magic damage) to outdamage any Persona with any elemental spell, even without elemental-specific Boost and Amp skills, and only using 2 slots. As a result you can give him 5-6 elements for elemental coverage.

Blazing HellMaeigaon
Ice AgeTyrant’s Mind
Wild ThunderMagic Ability
Vacuum WaveVictory Cry

You could give him the severe Atomic or Psychic Skills instead of Maeigaon, but Fafnir and Kohryu are good options to build for Atomic/Psychic and those weaknesses don’t come up very often. Note that there is not universally available severe Curse elemental magic, so you have to make due with Maeigaon.

This build is a lot of fun because unless you decide to build 5 individual elemental mage personas with Odin, Surt, Satan, etc., you’re never going to see these spell animations. You’ll just be watching the Megidolaon animation over and over again.

Anyway, that about does it for the best skills for putting together an amazing Persona 5 Royal Satanael Build. Be sure to check out the Games Section for more articles like this, and click here for more content related to Persona 5 Royal.
