Persona 5 Royal Akechi Persona Guide & Best Build

If you’re playing Persona 5 Royal, you’ll want to know what skills Akechi can learn from his Persona, as well as which ones are most worthwhile to keep. This guide will help make sure that your Akechi is the best Akechi he can be and is taking full advantage of his persona at the end of the game.

Persona 5 Royal Akechi Persona Evolutions

Like every other character in the game, Akechi has 3 different evolutions for his Persona: Robin Hood, Loki and Hereward.

Robin Hood is received at the start Nijima’s palace, when Akechi temporarily joins the party.

Robin Hood is upgraded to Loki automatically when Akechi rejoins the party in the bonus semester.

Finally, Akechi’s final Persona, Hereward, is obtained automatically on February 2nd during the bonus semester, provided you’ve maxed Akechi’s Justice Confidant. Hereward gains the skill Rebellion Blade, which deals colossal Almighty damage and does bonus damage if the enemy is knocked down, and his trait is upgraded to Ingenius Spirit, which has a chance of reducing the party’s SP costs for support and Almighty abilities by half.

Akechi’s Best Endgame Build

Akechi, like everyone else, has 8 skills to pick from, and you want to make sure you have the best build possible. The top tier skills are:

LaevateinnEigaon
Rebellion BladeDebilitate
MegidolaonAttack Master
Riot GunEvade Bless

Akechi is somewhat unique in that his skillset is pretty much set in stone. He only learns 9 skills, so the only decision you have to make is what skill to replace with Rebellion Blade. I recommend you replace Fortify Spirit, which really doesn’t come in handy very often. By that point in the game, your Joker will end most random encounters in a single spell, and it’s not like ailments are useful against the final boss. Luckily, Akechi’s moveset, even though you can’t change it much, is extremely good.

For his accessory, I highly recommend the Ring of Pride, which allows Akechi to cast Charge. That gives him something to do on the turns where he’s not attacking. Another option is a nice Orichalcum R, just to power up all his moves with the increased stats.

Anyway, that about does it for the best skills for Akechi and his Persona in Persona 5 Royal. Be sure to check out the Games Section for more articles like this, and click here for more content related to Persona 5 Royal.
