If you’re playing Persona 5 Royal you’re surely wondering which Personas are worth using, and in Persona 5 Royal Fafnir is one of the best. He’s one of the new personas added for Persona 5 Royal, and he gets a ton of immunities.
In Persona 5 Royal Fafnir repels Physical and Gun, drains Fire and Nuke, and is resistant to Electricity. He also doesn’t have any weaknesses. This article will teach you two ways to build an ultimate endgame Persona 5 Royal Fafnir.
There are two ways to go with Fafnir. He makes an excellent Gun persona due to his natural resistances. It’s good to have Repel Gun on a Gun persona, because there’s no skill for it and if your gun attacks get repelled, you want to be immune to your own damage. He also makes a natural magic persona for Nuke damage, since he naturally learns the best Nuclear spells in the game.
Nuke Build – Persona 5 Royal Fafnir Build
If you’re going for a Nuclear build on Fafnir, the skills you’re going to want are:

It’s always nice to have Repel Bless and Repel Curse, because those two elements include instant death attacks that can end your game in the blink of an eye, and repelling them is the best defense against that. Angelic Grace is sort of a catch-all resistance to the rest of the elemental magic available in the game.
It’s not strictly necessary to have both of the top-end Nuke spells. You only really need the target-all one, but having the single target version comes in handy if you want to take advantage of extra turn shenanigans.
For the trait, you’re going to want Pagan Allure from Satanael, but if you don’t have access to that, I like Mighty Gaze which increases magic power for target-all spells by 20%.
Gun Build
Your other major option with Fafnir is to build him into a badass Gun Persona. To do that, you’ll want the following skills:

With this build, you’ll do incredibly damage with Riot Gun and crit almost every time. Personally, I like to have Regenerate 3 on my physical personas to help offset the HP cost of their skills.
Another way to go with this is, like with Yoshitsune, to aim for full immunity. In that case, you’d be looking at this build:

This build puts out pretty similar damage, but you’re immune to all damage except electric, which you’re resistant to. I don’t like this build as much as the build above because I feel like you actually take more damage overall from the cost of your skills without Arms Master or Regenerate 3 than you’d ever take from any enemy damage source.
For the trait, the best trait for a gun persona, hands down, is Sword God, which comes from Futsunushi. This trait increases the damage increase of Charge from 2.5x to 3x. Excellent when paired with Charge, which you should be able to get from your party members (especially Ryuji), Futaba, or a support persona like Alilat.
