Overview & Review- Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk Job

yakuza like a dragon clerk

Eri’s unique Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk job is exceptionally good. It’s a fast, powerful physical attack job that gets a pretty well-rounded kit in terms of skills and abilities.

In terms of classic RPG archetypes, Clerk is most similar to a Ninja.

As a Clerk, Eri gets both bladed and blunt type physical skills, which helps her hit weaknesses and avoid resistances. Additionally, the vast majority of her skills have a chance to inflict some of the more severe status effects, like Stun and Fear.

At level 28, Clerk gets a powerful target-all screen clearing attack skill, which is one of the things that really separates the good jobs from the bad jobs towards the end of the game. This particular skill, Essence of Telephone Nunchaku, has the added bonus of inflicting Silence and Fear.

It’s barely worth mentioning, but Clerk also gets access to an accuracy debuff skill, which is made completely obsolete by the target-all accuracy debuff skill Eri learns naturally by leveling.

One of the things that makes Clerk such a good job is the abundance of Agility and Attack bonuses it receives at later levels, which set Eri up to excel as a Matriarch or a Night Queen if you choose to move her into another job at any point.

Altogether, Clerk is a great job and you can’t go wrong with it if you choose to keep Eri in that role for the entire game.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk Best Weapon

The best weapon for the Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk job is called the Super High Frequency Ruler EX EX. Like all the best weapons, it’s obtained by upgrading a low level base weapon at the Romance Workshop in the Commercial District in Ijincho.

The base weapon you need is the Anti-corrosion Boxcutter, which you can buy at the Gambling Hall in Northwest Koreatown in Ijincho for 50 wooden tags.

To finish upgrading the weapon, you need a Ceramic Boxcutter, which you get from reaching the Executive Hero level in Part-time Hero. You can also buy it at Le Marche in Kamurocho for 10 million yen.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk Accessory

The Job Experience accessory for the Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk Job is pretty easy to obtain. It’s called the Maiden’s Perfume. You can buy them from the Casino in Chinatown for 1500 points.

Since you can obtain multiple Maiden’s Perfumes, Clerk is able to equip two at once to boost its job experience by 2x.

Character Skills – Yakuza Like a Dragon Clerk Job

Every job in Yakuza Like a Dragon has two specific Character Skills, which, once learned, can be used by that character no matter which job class they’ve been assigned.

For the Clerk job, the character skills are:

Healing Vibrations: Eri recovers HP by enjoying a soothing massage.

Shadow Stitch: Heavily damage an enemy by throwing a compass at their legs. Has a chance of lowering the enemy’s Evasion.

Healing Vibrations is pretty useless, especially since females in Like a Dragon can get a fairly decent single target healing spell from the Idol job at level 4.

Shadow Stitch can be useful as it adds a Heavy-strength bladed attack to Eri’s arsenal that she can make use of in other jobs. Most of the other female jobs except Matriarch (which is DLC-only) are focused on blunt damage, so having a decent bladed attack to fall back on when encountering blunt-resistant enemies comes in handy.
