Overview & Review- Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman Job

yakuza like a dragon foreman

The Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman job basically does two things: has a lot of HP, and hits enemies hard. Which is all you really want from it in the end.

In terms of classic RPG archetypes, Foreman is most similar to a Warrior.

For most of the game, Foreman does almost nothing except hit a single target one time for heavy damage. However, once it gets to the mid-twenties or so and learns its Essence-level skills, it gets its hands on two powerful target-all screen clearing physical attacks.

While the Foreman job doesn’t have much utility beyond hitting things really hard, honestly hitting things really hard is 99% of what you want from a job in Yakuza Like a Dragon. It’s definitely not the best job given how one dimensional it is, especially before job level 24, but it gets the job done.

Foreman makes a great second job choice for physical characters preparing for the True Final Millennium Tower thanks to its HP bonuses and its ability to help with screen clearing while farming experience in the Kamurocho Underground.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman Best Weapon

The best weapon for the Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman job is called the Heaven and Earth Hammer EX EX. Like all the best weapons, it’s obtained by upgrading a low level base weapon at the Romance Workshop in the Commercial District in Ijincho.

The base weapon you need is the Rusted Hammer, which you can buy at the Batting Cages in Northwest Ijincho for 500 points.

To finish upgrading the weapon, you need a Starcrusher, which you can buy from the Batting Cages for 30,000 points (yikes), or buy from Le Marche in Kamurocho for 10,000,000 yen.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman Accessory

The Job Experience accessory for the Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman Job is pretty easy to obtain. It’s called the Chief’s Towel. You can get one from Substory 37. Unfortunately, there’s only one Chief’s Towel available in the game, so the Foreman job can only boost its Job Experience up 1.5x.

Character Skills – Yakuza Like a Dragon Foreman Job

Every job in Yakuza Like a Dragon has two specific Character Skills, which, once learned, can be used by that character no matter which job class they’ve been assigned.

For the Foreman job, the character skills are:

Ocular Assessment: Greatly boost your Accuracy by thoroughly examining the enemy.

Megaton Throw: Heavily damage multiple enemies by throwing a powerful explosive at them. May leave your enemies burned.

Like most Character Skills in the game, Ocular Assessment is worthless. There is no situation in Yakuza Like a Dragon where you would ever want to use it.

Megaton Throw, on the other hand, has a very niche utility. If you’re making a character into a mage, and that character isn’t Nanba, and that character isn’t going to be in the Host job for some reason, Megaton Throw provides a decent source of fire elemental magic damage. Outside of that very niche situation, useless.
