Alphen – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Nebilim

talesofarisealphenbestweapon Tales of Arise Best Weapons for Every Character

When it comes to the Tales of Arise best weapons, Alphen’s is a little bit special. In the post-game dungeon, each boss drops a special “Devil’s Arms” weapon that begins weak and get slightly stronger each time that character gets a killing blow. For most characters, these weapons are subpar and you get them so late that any attempt to power them up is a complete waste of time.

However, for Alphen, who most players are likely to control throughout the game, the amount of killing blows he has by the time you reach the post-game is insane because he’s involved in almost every finisher on every enemy — in other words, because of the mechanics of finishing blows, which is how almost every enemy is defeated, Alphen hogs killing blows throughout the game.

As a result, his Nebilim weapon will be extremely powerful.

You get this weapon from defeating Chronos, the final boss of the post-game dungeon, which is available in the Earth Spirit Temple in the Tietal Plain.

Realm Unifier

tales of arise best weapons alphen

Your other option for Alphen when it comes to the Tales of Arise best weapons is the Realm Unifier, which you might notice has almost 1000 less attack power than the Nebilim. However, if you didn’t use Alphen as your main character throughout your playthrough it may be stronger than the Nebilim (unlikely). The Blistering Fangs you need for this are only available in the last part of the post-game dungeon so assuming your Nebilim is powered up you’ll use it for exactly one fight.

Ingredients:

Iron Pipe x1
Ominous Eyeball x4
Cursed Claw x2
Blistering Fang x5

Iron Pipe: To collect this you need to complete the quest “The Mysterious Pair” which is available in Niez as long as you completed “A Healer and Her Patients”, which is hard to miss. “The Mysterious Pair” is the second quest from the bard you meet in “A Healer and Her Patients”. Once you’ve accepted the Mysterious Pair quest, the Iron Pipe can be found in the northern most point of the Iglia Wastes.

Ominous Eyeball: Ominous Eyeballs are dropped by Astral Sloths in the final dungeon or Mash Boomy enemies in the post-game dungeon. They’re both variations of the floating ghost-like spellcaster enemies you find throughout the game.

Cursed Claw: Cursed Claws are dropped by Astral Doubts, which are the large enemies with multiple arms you fight throughout the final dungeon. You should pick up several of these naturally as you go through the final dungeon.

Blistering Fang: Blistering Fangs are dropped by Furious Boars, which are the highest level boar enemies that are found in the last part of the post-game dungeon.

Shionne – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Monochrome Spiral

When it comes to the Tales of Arise best weapons, Shionne’s is pretty standard. You craft it out of late game materials, some of which are only found in the post-game dungeon.

Ingredients

Rending Titanfang x10
Gloaming Crystal x2
Dragon Scale x4
Granite Fragment x2

Rending Titanfang: Rending Titanfangs are dropped by tons of enemies. Here’s a complete list:
– Any of the Boomy type enemies (the floating ghost looking things) from “The Wedge” onwards. So, The Wedge, the final dungeon and the post-game dungeon.
– The Gargoyle type enemies in the post-game dungeon (Immortal Figures)
– The Cerberus type enemies in the final dungeon (Polycontrus)
– The dragon type enemies in the final dungeon and the last area of the post-game dungeon
– The Furious Boars in the last area of the post-game dungeon
– Any of the Berserker type enemies from The Wedge and after
– The birds in the last dungeon, the Tower of the Wind Spirit, and the post-game dungeon.

Gloaming Crystal: Gloaming Crystals are dropped by the mini-boss enemy with multiple arms in the first area of the post-game dungeon. It’s called “Punisher” and you can reliably find one guarding the chest right before the boss area of the first part of the post-game dungeon.

Dragon Scale: Dragon Scales are dropped by the Ignite Dragons towards the end of the post-game dungeon.

Granite Fragment: Granite Fragments are dropped by any of the golem-type enemies from Berg Volcano onwards.

Rinwell – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Oblivion Ring

In terms of the Tales of Arise best weapons, Rinwell’s is typical. You craft it out of late game materials, some of which are only found in the post-game dungeon.

Ingredients

Mystical Luminacore x10
Dark Tree Blood x4
Dark Mane x2
Majestic Feather x2

Mystical Luminacore: Lots of things drop these. Here is a list:
– Helganquils in the last dungeon
– Flaming Mass in Berg Volcano, Astral Lament in the final dungeon (same enemy type)
– Either of the multiple armed miniboss enemies you find in the last dungeon and the post-game dungeon
– The chameleon-type miniboss enemies in the last dungeon (Chrome Gazer and Astral Agony)
– Any of the golem-type enemies from Berg Volcano onwards
– Treant Ropers in the post-game dungeon (you have to kill these for the Dark Tree Blood anyway so might as well get your Luminacores here). Not to be confused with the Illuminated Ropers which are also in the post-game dungeon. Treant Ropers are the orange and green ones.

Dark Tree Blood: Dropped by Illuminated Ropers and Treant Ropers in the post-game dungeon. Treant Ropers also drop the Mystical Luminacores you need for this weapon if you still need those by the time you reach the post-game dungeon.

Dark Mane: Any of the wolf-type enemies from Lenegis and beyond will drop Dark Manes pretty commonly.

Majestic Feather: These are dropped by the birds in the last dungeon, the Tower of the Wind Spirit, and the post-game dungeon.

Law – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Unyielding Braces

tales of arise best weapons law

Like Alphen, Law is a special case when it comes to Tales of Arise best weapons. You get his ultimate weapon, the Unyielding Braces, by beating the post-game subquest “The Reminiscence Device”, which is available in Daeq Faezol. It’s sort of the ultimate challenge of the whole game, so once you get this weapon there’s really nothing else left to do in the game. It’s also only marginally stronger than Law’s second best weapon (567 attack vs 540).

“The Reminiscence Device” involves beating all the lords powered up to max level, a fight against all the lords at once, and a final battle against a certain character from the story without healing or saving in between rounds.

Oblivion Gauntlets

tales of arise best weapons law

You acquire the Oblivion Gauntlets, like most Tales of Arise best weapons, by collecting materials that are mostly available in the post-game dungeon in the Earth Spirit Temple after you beat the game.

Ingredients

Indomitable Gargantubone x10
Punisher’s Vambrace x5
Hard Spherical Shell x3
Lustrous Astral Crystal x2

Indomitable Gargantubone: Tons of things drop these. Here’s a list:
– Agate Shells (the armored lobster things) at the start of the post-game dungeon
– Any of the big miniboss type enemies that have gigantic hammers
– The gargoyle-type enemies in The Wedge (Chaotic Figures)
– The mantis-type enemies in Lenegis and the last dungeon
– Armored Apes in the post-game dungeon (these also drop the Punisher’s Vambraces you need for this weapon)
– Rokmadillos in Berg Volcano (these also drop the Hard Spherical Shells you need for this weapon)

Punisher’s Vambrace: These are dropped by Armored Apes in the post-game dungeon. They’re blue and they have big fists.

Hard Spherical Shell: You can get these quite early. They’re dropped by any of the armadillo-type enemies from the Adan Ruins onward. Best location is probably the Rokmadillos in Berg Volcano since they also drop Indomitable Gargantubones.

Lustrous Astral Crystal: Helganquils in the last dungeon drop these, as do any of the Renan soldiers in Lenegis and the Vholran Guardsmen in Del Fharis Castle.

Kisara – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Matriarch Martel

tales of arise best weapons kisara

Ingredients

Indomitable Gargantubone x10
Statue Heart x2
Incendiary Scale x2
Gloaming Crystal x2

Indomitable Gargantubone: Tons of things drop these. Here’s a list:
– Agate Shells (the armored lobster things) at the start of the post-game dungeon
– Any of the big miniboss type enemies that have gigantic hammers
– The gargoyle-type enemies in The Wedge (Chaotic Figures)
– The mantis-type enemies in Lenegis and the last dungeon
– Armored Apes in the post-game dungeon
– Rokmadillos in Berg Volcano

Dohalim – Tales of Arise Best Weapons

Liber Pater

tales of arise best weapons dohalim

You acquire the Liber Pater, like most Tales of Arise best weapons, by collecting materials that are mostly available in the post-game dungeon in the Earth Spirit Temple after you beat the game.

Ingredients

Mystical Luminacore x10
Mucus Sac x4
Gloaming Crystal x1
Incendiary Scale x4

Mystical Luminacore: Lots of things drop these. Here is a list:
– Helganquils in the last dungeon
– Flaming Mass in Berg Volcano, Astral Lament in the final dungeon (same enemy type)
– Either of the multiple armed miniboss enemies you find in the last dungeon and the post-game dungeon
– The chameleon-type miniboss enemies in the last dungeon (Chrome Gazer and Astral Agony)
– Any of the golem-type enemies from Berg Volcano onwards
– Treant Ropers in the post-game dungeon. Not to be confused with the Illuminated Ropers which are also in the post-game dungeon. Treant Ropers are the orange and green ones.

Mucus Sac: These are dropped by Agate Shells (the armored lobster/crustacean looking things) in the post-game dungeon.

Gloaming Crystal: Gloaming Crystals are dropped by the mini-boss enemy with multiple arms in the first area of the post-game dungeon. It’s called “Punisher” and you can reliably find one guarding the chest right before the boss area of the first part of the post-game dungeon.

Incendiary Scale: These are dropped by the bees in the final dungeon and the post-game dungeon.

Quick Note About Ingredients

You can get a couple of the high end ingredients for the Tales of Arise best weapons a little early from the Training Grounds, but they can only be acquired one time. You can get Incendiary Scales from Alphen and Dohalim’s Ultimate Training, Dragon Scales from Shionne’s Ultimate Training, Blistering Fangs from Rinwells.

I didn’t mention this in the guide because you can only get 2 of each a single time, and that doesn’t help you forge any of these weapons any earlier (Alphen needs 5 Blistering Fangs, Shionne needs 4 Dragon Scales, etc).
