1. Chop – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Chop deals 6-12 damage and has a 75% chance of inflicting blind on the user.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Ranks 1-2 (Single Target)
Chop Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 6-16 and ignores blindness if enemy has a combo token. Blindness chance decreased to 60%.
Review: Chop is the bread and butter skill for Leper and it’s the whole reason why you pick Leper in the first place. It does a stupid amount of damage and the downside (blindness) is easily mitigated through items, relics and other Leper skills. Must-have for any Leper loadout.
2. Purge – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Purge deals 2-4 damage, knocks the target back 3 ranks and clears corpses on the field.
Usable: Rank 1
Target: Rank 1 (Single Target)
Purge Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 3-5 and inflicts a combo token.
Review: Purge is not a useful skill. You’ll get rid of it as soon as you unlock better skills for your loadout. You can only use it in rank 1 and it deals little damage. The corpse clear is nice, but many other characters have better skills for that.
3. Withstand – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Withstand grants 2x block tokens, 2x taunt tokens and 15% resistance to DoTs and pulls. Grants an additional block token each turn for the next 3 turns.
Usable: Ranks 1-3
Targets: Self
Withstand Mastery Upgrade: Upgrades initial block tokens to block+ tokens. Increases resistances to 25%.
Review: Withstand is a fantastic damage reduction and tanking ability. Leper has a ton of self-reliance abilities which makes even a great skill like Withstand struggle to deserve a spot on the loadout, but Withstand is definitely a competitor.
4. Solemnity – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Solemnity heals the user for 33% if health is below 33%. Heals 2 stress. Two uses per battle.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Self
Solemnity Master Upgrade: Increases heal amount to 50% and stress heal to 3.
Review: Solemnity is a powerful self-sustain skill and makes Leper almost entirely self-sufficient. I’d argue it’s one of Leper’s best skills.
5. Reflection – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Reflection removes blinds and combo tokens and heals 1 stress.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Self
Reflection Mastery Upgrade: Increases stress heal to 2, adds 20% debuff resistance.
Review: Reflection is pretty much a must-have for Leper since it removes the blindness he’s constantly afflicted with. If you just have one blindness token it’s usually better to keep attacking, but if you have 2 or more stacks, which is pretty common, you’re going to want Reflection.
6. Hew – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Hew deals 3-7 damage to both enemies in ranks 1 and 2. Has a 75% chance to inflict blindness.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Ranks 1-2 (Targets All)
Hew Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 4-9. Ignores blindness when target has a combo token. Blindness chance reduced to 60%.
Review: It’s hard to find space on your loadout for Hew because it’s usually better to do a lot of damage to one enemy than medium damage to two enemies. The main situation where Hew would be useful is against multiple enemies with block, but Leper has access to Break for that situation.
7. Revenge – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Revenge inflicts 2x vulnerability tokens on the user and grants the user a strength token every turn for several turns.
Usable: Ranks 1-4
Targets: Self
Revenge Mastery Upgrade: Only inflicts 1x vulnerability. Removes weakness. Has a 15% chance to grant a crit token each turn the buff is active.
Review: Revenge is an incredibly good skill that dramatically increases the damage output from your Leper. You may not want to use it if Leper is your main tank, but otherwise it deserves a spot on your loadout in my opinion.
8. Intimidate – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Intimidate deals 1-2 damage and grants 2x taunt tokens. It inflicts 2x weakness tokens.
Usable: Rank 1
Targets: Ranks 1-4 (Single Target)
Intimidate Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 2-3, ignores & removes stealth.
Review: Intimidate is not a particularly useful skill. It does help Leper tank when used together with Withstand, but it’s just not that impactful. It’s not a bad skill, it’s just not worth a spot when compared to all of Leper’s other skills.
9. Ruin – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Ruin applies a buff that increases damage by 20% each time damage is received.
Usable: Ranks 1-3
Targets: Self
Ruin Mastery Upgrade: Also applies a 2 damage bleed to self.
Review: Ruin can help you stack up a ton of damage. You can roll with both this and Revenge and start casually hitting everything for 40 damage in round 3, but that’s a lot of setup and a lot of skill slots. I usually take one or the other and I prefer Revenge.
10. Break – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Break deals 4-7 damage and destroys block tokens. 75% chance to inflict blind on self.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Ranks 1-2 (Single Target)
Break Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 4-10, ignores blindness when target has a combo token, reduces blind chance to 60%.
Review: Break is situationally useful. Generally it’s only really useful when an enemy has 2 or more block tokens. Otherwise a half damage Chop does the same damage as Break and also removes the block token. Still, the situation of an enemy having 2 or more block tokens is pretty common. Might justify carrying this skill in your loadout.
11. Bash – Darkest Dungeon 2 Leper Skills
Bash deals 2-4 damage, immobilizes self and inflicts daze and immobilize on the target.
Usable: Ranks 1-2
Targets: Ranks 1-2 (Single Target)
Bash Mastery Upgrade: Increases damage to 3-5 and applies a combo token.
Review: Bash is not a very compelling skill. It deals low damage and the effects aren’t very impactful. Enemies moving position is not that big a deal and daze is a decent debuff but not worth wasting a turn on.
