Without further ado, let’s get into the Ni No Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations Guide.
1. Grotty Grotto – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
Grotty Grotto is the first of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations and it’s located North of Martha’s Cottage. The story will eventually send you there and it will introduce you to the whole Dreamer Maze side quest.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in Grotty Grotto is located toward the back.
The Grotty Grotto Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door has level 15+ enemies and 3 levels. It shouldn’t be too difficult at any point in the game.
2. Sundown Woods – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The second of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is in Sundown Woods, which is East of the Forest of Niall.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Sundown Woods is located near the entrance, on the West side.
The Sundown Woods Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door has level 20+ enemies and 4 floors. Again, not particularly hard.
3. Eert Grove – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The third of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is Eert Grove, which is Northeast of Goldpaw. You have to stay on the upper level and follow a narrow trail around the cliff in order to reach it.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in Eert Grove is located in the Southeast corner.
The Eert Grove Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door has level 25+ enemies and 6 floors. Things may start feeling a little more difficult here, but still shouldn’t pose much of a problem.
4. Shrine of Pining – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The fourth of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is the Shrine of Pining located on the Makronos islands Southeast of Hydropolis. You have to climb up the coral staircase and keep to the Eastern side of it.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Shrine of Pining is located straight ahead of the entrance, in the back.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Shrine of Pining has level 35+ enemies and 6 floors.
5. Tidewash Cave – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The fifth of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is the Tidewash Cave. It’s only accessible by boat or airship and it’s inaccessible until your boat is upgraded following the events at Hydropolis.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Tidewash Cave is in the Southwest corner.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Tidewash Cave has level 40+ enemies and 8 floors. At this point you may want to start building and working on the Dimensional Lab in your town, especially the research that lets you sense the door to the next floor from far away.
6. Sublime Shrine – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The sixth of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is in the Sublime Shrine, Northeast of Broadleaf.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Sublime Shrine is located in the Southwest corner.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door for the Sublime Shrine has level 45+ enemies and 10 floors. You’ll want the door sensing research from this point forward. In fact, I’d wait to complete any further mazes until you have it. It really makes things go a lot more smoothly.
7. Crooked Cavern – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The seventh of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is the Crooked Cavern, on the peninsula that stretches out to the East of the Sky Pirate’s Base. It requires the airship to visit.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Crooked Cavern is on the Eastern side.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Crooked Cavern has level 45+ enemies and 13 floors.
8. Blowtorch Cave – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The eighth of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is in the Blowtorch Cave, on the North side of the Drylands. The entrance is on the side of a cliff facing the ocean.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Blowtorch Cave is located on the Western side.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Blowtorch Cave has level 55+ enemies and 15 floors.
9. Shivery Shrine – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The last of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations required to complete the initial quest is located in the Shivery Shrine, Northeast of the Crash Site in Jack Frost’s Playground (the icy continent in the Northeast of the map).
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door for the Shivery Shrine is located at the very back of the shrine.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Shivery Shrine has level 60+ enemies and 18 floors. After completing the Shivery Shrine maze, you’ll want to go to the Library in Goldpaw and talk to Mileniyah to complete the quest and get the key to the 10th Dreamer Maze Door.
10. Faraway Forest – Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze Locations
The tenth and last of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations is in the Faraway Forest, which is on an island East of Broadleaf.
The actual Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Faraway Forest is in the Southeast.
The Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Faraway Forest has level 65+ enemies, though their level increases every 10 floors. It has 30 floors initially and the boss is level 95, but don’t let that intimidate you. The boss is not particularly hard. If you’re in the high 70s or early 80s you’ll probably be fine, especially if you cheese it with ranged attacks.
If you have the free DLC Adventurer’s Pack, after completing this Dreamer Maze Door you can talk to Boddy in the Goldpaw Library and unlock another 10 floors in the Faraway Forest Dreamer Maze that are only available on Hard Mode.
Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze TIPS
The main tip I have for the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer’s Maze is to build the Dimensional Lab and, later, the Multidimensional Lab as soon as possible, because the research to slow the Danger Level and the research to show an indicator for the door location are priceless when completing these quests.
I can’t even imagine trying to complete any of the later Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Maze locations without the Multidimensional lab resources.
Next tip would be that even though the boss of the Ni no Kuni 2 Dreamer Door in the Faraway Forest is level 95, he is a pushover. If you can beat any of the late-game tainted monsters that appear after completing the tainted monster compendium, you can probably take on the Faraway Forest boss.
Finally, if you’re a completionist like me, you’re most likely going to have to go through levels 21-40 of the Faraway Forest Dreamer Maze multiple times to search for Enlightened Wonderwaters, Classic Cords, Tinkletune Cotton and other rare materials needed to unlock the highest level Higgledies and complete the costume quests available in town. These are definitely found in sparkles, but I also had them drop from enemies so I’d recommend setting the Tactic Tweaker to boost rare material drops.
