Definitive TOP 5 BEST Borderlands 3 Amara Guns

If you’re playing Borderlands 3 as Amara, you’re going to want to know what the best guns are. While there are a bunch of guns that are universally good on every character, some guns are especially good on certain Vault Hunters. Amara, of course, is no different. Here are the top 5 best guns for Amara in Borderlands 3.

Obviously Borderlands 3 has balance updates periodically, but these guns have been consistently sought after by most Amara players, and everyone and their mother is using these guns in their endgame Amara loadouts.

Now, with all of these guns, I want to point out that you’re going to be looking for specific anointments. If you’re using the Ricochet Witch build, you want +50% elemental damage on action skill end. If you’re using Phasezerker, you probably still want the elemental damage anointment, but you might also find 300% damage after Phaseslam and 200% damage after Phasecast to be useful.

5. Brainstormer

Brainstormer is a fantastic elemental shotgun for mobbing. It tethers enemies together with a static link that deals constant damage to everything in the AoE and the link is capable of proccing a number of Amara’s skills. It’s an incredibly useful weapon in general, and even more useful on Amara specifically. The other weapons on this list may be a higher priority, but Brainstormer is no slouch, so if you have one of those stored in the bank with a nice anointment, you may want to use it until you get a great version of one of the weapons further down on this list.

4. Rowan’s Call – Best Borderlands 3 Amara Guns

Rowan’s Call is an enormously useful elemental assault rifle that refills its own ammo and ricochets bullets to nearby enemies as long as you’re scoring crits, which tends to be very easy to accomplish with Amara due to her Phasegrasp ability. This thing just absolutely pumps out damage, and it’s an incredible crowd clearing weapon. The only thing that prevents it from being higher up on this list is the fact that its ricochets can’t hit the initial target, so its effect goes to waste if there are no other nearby enemies.

3. The Carrier – Best Borderlands 3 Amara Guns

The Carrier is similar to Rowan’s Call in that it produces a ricochet effect. It’s weaker in some ways, since it’s non-elemental and it only produces a single ricochet shot, but due to the fact that the ricochet can bounce around and then come back and hit the initial target makes it a much more powerful weapon when it comes to taking down bosses. This tends to be Amara’s most reliable weapon for taking down any boss in the game, though, situationally, Queen’s Call can be stronger. Plus, it’s super cool looking. It looks like a Mass Effect gun.

2. Queen’s Call/King’s Call

Queen’s Call and King’s Call are basically the same weapon, just in different elemental varieties. This pistol combines all the benefits of Rowan’s Call with all the benefits of The Carrier. The only problem is you have to be up close to really get the full benefit, which is not possible on certain bosses. On the bosses it is possible with, however, it absolutely destroys them. If you can reliably crit, this weapon never needs to be reloaded, fires rapidly, and produces piles and piles of ricochet bullets, especially if you’re using it in conjunction with Amara’s ricochet mechanics.

1. Recursion – Best Borderlands 3 Amara Guns

Recursion is the #1 weapon for Amara when it comes to crowd clearing. Though it fires relatively slowly, it comes in elemental varieties, it can switch elements, and its ricochet shots decimate entire rooms full of enemies in a way that feels cartoonishly overpowered. When you combine with weapon with Amara’s Ricochet Witch build, you will find that the sturdiest enemies, even in the Maliwan Takedown, melt before you actually even see them. You just fire a few shots and start seeing endless bullets and corpses flying around you. It’s pretty wild. Highly recommended.
