How to Unlock ALL Bravely Default 2 Level 15 Jobs

This Bravely Default 2 Level 15 Jobs Guide will teach you how to unlock ALL skills and abilities for each job including how to defeat bosses.

If you’re playing Bravely Default 2, you’re going to want to unlock all the skills and abilities you possibly can so that you can level up your characters and make them as strong as they can possibly be.

In order to do that, you’re going to want to unlock all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs, which expands the list of skills and abilities to include an additional 3 abilities for every job and allows you to advance from “Mastered” to “Legendary.”

To upgrade each job, once you’ve completed a certain story event towards the end of the game, the various arch-shaped portals made out of rocks on the world map become active. You’ll know when this happens because the game will automatically upgrade the Freelancer job and notify you that job upgrades have become available.

Inside each of the stone portals, you’ll enter the Halls of Tribulation and face off against a party made up of 3-4 powered up versions of each of the Asterisk bosses. These are some of the most difficult boss battles in the game, so be prepared with your best job setups. Each time you defeat a group of bosses, the corresponding Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs will unlock, and you’ll also get access to a treasure chest with powerful endgame equipment.

Here is where you can find each of the Halls of Tribulation portals so you can upgrade all of your Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs.

Before we go to the guide, you should know this in preparation for these boss fights: In all of these battles, each boss has a high chance to counter any ability by generating a brave point. If you don’t manage their Brave generation, even the easiest of these battles will slaughter you.

There are two ways around the brave point generation counter. The first is to rely on physical attacks and keep Wall of Woe (Bravebearer) active to keep their Brave down. The second is to spam abilities into negative Brave and use Equaliser (Bravebearer) to recover your Brave while keeping the enemies’ at bay. Either way, having Bravebearer abilities is a must, at least until you’re powerful enough to shrug off most of their attacks, so make sure you have one.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

Sloan was no slouch when you fought him the first time and his upgraded incarnation is no different. This is one of the more difficult Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs upgrade battles, but it’s not the most difficult one by any means.

Lonsdale (Bastion) will be annoying, as he reflects physical attack damage, counters magic attacks by erecting a magic attack barrier and reapplies a party-wide physical attack barrier every turn.

Black Mage (Emma) is annoying in that she absorbs all magic damage. Don’t be fooled by her weaknesses, magic attacks do nothing to her. However, she has a low HP total and it shouldn’t be difficult to take her down with physical attacks before she becomes much of a threat.

Bravebearer (Sloan) is the main threat here and you’ll likely want to save him for last. As you’d expect, his Brave is full basically every turn and he siphons your Brave away. You’re going to want to have a strong tank because he can wipe your party very quickly.

In general, the strategy is to take down Emma relatively early with physical attacks. I recommend a powerful dual wield character utilizing the Swordmaster’s Solid Stance for that, as regular attacks won’t generate brave points for your enemies.

Next, you’re going to want to focus on Bastion. Trying to take him down with physical attacks is a fool’s errand, so you’re going to want to spam powerful magic attacks. I’d recommend making use of the Red Mage’s Chainspell ability, either as a Freelancer/Red Mage with Sub-Job Specialty 2 spamming Tornado/Quake (if you have them) or as a Red Mage/Necromancer spamming Doomsday.

Finally, for Sloan, your main objective is not dying to his continual onslaught of powerful attacks. I’d recommend you bring a Shieldmaster who can get killed by him every around and get revived to full health by one of your other characters in between each barrage.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Bravebearer, Black Mage and Bastion.

Sloan drops the Sword of Light, which grants access to all Bravebearer passive abilities. You can also rare steal Lordly Robes from him.

Lonsdale drops the Shield of Clemency which can be used to cast Double Default, as well as the Spear of Judgement, which gives access to all Bastion passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Maximillian from him.

Emma drops the Leviathan staff, which grants all Black Mage passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hellhat from her.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

The common steal item for all the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs bosses is a Small JP Orb.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Lordly Robes.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

In my opinion, this is the easiest of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles. They have relatively low health totals when compared to the rest of the bosses you fight, they have no healer and none of them are particularly dangerous.

You’re going to want to take down Orpheus (Bard) first since he buffs up the rest of their party, which shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish with physical attacks since he only has around 70,000 health. He’s immune to Wind and weak to bows and ice, so keep that in mind.

Next you’ll want to move onto either Anihal (Beastmaster) or Shirley (Gambler) as they’re less resilient than Bernard (Thief). Anihal is weak to swords and Earth and takes half damage from spears, fire and dark. Shirley is weak to electricity and takes half damage from bows, Earth and light.

Once you’ve whittled their group down to just Bernard, you’ve basically won. Just make sure you have a tank to absorb the damage he dishes out and you should be fine. Bernard is weak to axes and light, takes half damage from wind and daggers and absorbs dark.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Thief, Bard, Beastmaster and Gambler.

Bernard drops the Givampalui, which grants access to all Thief passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Diamond Chestplate from him.

Orpheus drops the Fallen Angel’s Harp, which gives access to all Bard passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hypnos Crown from him.

Anihal drops the Ringmaster’s Spear, which grants all Beastmaster passive abilities. You can also rare steal a White Robe from her.

Shirley drops a Longshot Bow, which grants all Gambler passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Circlet from her.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

When it comes to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, this one is annoying but it’s not too difficult.

The main thing that makes this battle troublesome is that Galahad (Shieldmaster) takes hits for his allies at low health and Glenn (Salve-Maker) revives Galahad to full health when he dies.

So, as a result, you have to whittle Glenn down as low as possible, kill Galahad, and then finish Glenn off before he gets his next turn. This can take a couple of tries, so expect Galahad to get revived a few times before you actually accomplish that.

Galahad also throws up Retribution, which reflects the damage you deal to him, so you’ll want to have the Freelancer skillset on someone to use Square One, which will remove his Counter buff. He absorbs earth, so just keep that in mind.

Gladys does what she always does, which is a lot of physical damage. If you have a solid tank she shouldn’t pose too much of a threat.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Salve-Maker, Shieldmaster and Swordmaster.

Glenn drops the Foraging Shovel, which grants access to all Salve-Maker passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hypnos Crown from him.

Galahad drops the Portcullis Hammer, which gives access to all Shieldmaster passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Diamond Chestplate from him.

Gladys drops the Executioner’s Blade, which grants all Swordmaster passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Circlet from her.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

The common steal item for all the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs bosses is a Small JP Orb.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Hypnos Crown.

Location:

The portal to Halls of Tribulation IV is located northeast of Wiswald.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

Both Helio (Spiritmaster) and Domenic (Oracle) are pushovers. What makes this battle hard is Martha (Dragoon). You should be able to take Helio down without much trouble just by bursting him at the start of the battle. He’ll auto-revive once and die again soon after.

Domenic should similarly pose no threat. Just take him down and try to avoid giving the enemies too much free BP.

The problem is that while you’re killing Helio and Domenic, Martha will be draining all of your party’s MP, and once you’ve killed one of them or gotten Martha to half HP, she’ll start super jumping, which will do significant damage to your entire party. If you’re not a high level or don’t have a strong enough jobs setup, Martha can easily wipe you in a turn or two once you get to the halfway point of this battle.

Having the Bastion skillset can help with the super jumps, as well as having a strong healer (like a Spiritmaster/White Mage) to make sure you can recover to full in between each hit. Once you’ve killed Helio, you want to burst Domenic down fast so you don’t have to deal with him while you’re trying to not die from Martha repeatedly super jumping on you.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Spiritmaster, Oracle and Dragoon.

Helio drops the Sunshine Staff, which grants access to all Spiritmaster passive abilities. You can also rare steal Lordly Robes from him.

Domenic drops the Farsight Bow, which gives access to all Oracle passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hellhat from him.

Martha drops a Draconic Lance, which grants all Dragoon passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Crystal Vest from her.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

The common steal item for all the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs bosses is a Small JP Orb.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Crystal Vest.

Halls of Tribulation V – Bravely Default 2 Level 15 Jobs

Halls of Tribulation V unlocks Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Berserker, Arcanist and Pictomancer.

bravely default 2 level 15 jobs 5

Location:

bravely default 2 level 15 jobs location 5

The portal to Halls of Tribulation V is located in the far northeast corner of Rimedhal.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

This is by far the most difficult of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles. Castor (Berserker) and Vigintio (Arcanist) can both wipe your whole party no problem if they get to 3 BP. If just one builds up 3 BP you might survive and be able to recover. If both do? That’s a wrap. You’re done.

There’s not much you can do to mitigate the damage. Arcanist has too much elemental coverage to really defend against with resistances from equipment and Castor is just ridiculous brute force physical damage.

While in the other battles you may be able to get away with spamming your abilities as normal and spamming Equalise on your Bravebearer to recover your BP and keep the enemies’ down a little bit, here you’re going to need to go full BP management mode and give the enemy as little BP as possible.

What I’d recommend is getting a strong Swordmaster and have most of your damage come from physical attacks in Solid Stance, which won’t give the enemy any BP. I’d suggest you keep Wall of Woe (Bravebearer) active the entire fight. I’d also recommend having 2 dedicated healers, specifically having 2 level 15 Spiritmaster sub-specialty 2s active. That way your party is constantly getting healed, getting 2 BP and being revived as regular intervals.

Folie (Pictomancer) is kind of a non-issue. She daubs your party every once in a while and deals an insignificant amount of damage. Take Vigintio out first, then get rid of Folie so you can focus on Castor.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Berserker, Arcanist and Pictomancer.

Castor drops the Hysteriax, which grants access to all Berserker passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Goswhit from him.

Vigintio drops the Crescent Cane, which gives access to all Arcanist passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hellplate from him.

Folie drops a Bloody Brush, which grants all Pictomancer passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Ribbon from her.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

The common steal item for all the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs bosses is a Small JP Orb.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Hellplate.

Location:

The portal to Halls of Tribulation VI is located northwest of Rimedhal.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

Among the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, this one is pretty straightforward. None of the enemies do anything particularly new or unexpected. Marla (Phantom) does a large amount of single target damage. Adam (Hellblade) hits hard and heals himself. Horten (Monk) deals physical attack damage.

You’ve faced all these enemies before, now you’re just facing them all together with higher health totals. The only thing you should really be aware of is that when Adam gets to low HP, he’ll power up and at that time you’re going to want to burst him down or he’ll instagib your party on his next turn.

I’d recommend taking down Horten just to get rid of him, then focusing down Marla until she’s gone, and then finally focusing your attention on Adam, who definitely poses the biggest threat.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Phantom, Hellblade and Monk.

Marla drops the Vengeance, which grants access to all Phantom passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Duelling Mask from her.

Adam drops the Darksoul Sword, which gives access to all Hellblade passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Maximillian from him.

Horten drops a Genji Gloves, which is a pretty underwhelming accessory that increases defense. You can also rare steal another Genji Gloves from him.

As with all of the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, there’s a good chance of them dropping one or more Giant JP Orbs.

The common steal item for all the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs bosses is a Small JP Orb.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Maximillian.

Halls of Tribulation VII – Bravely Default 2 Level 15 Jobs

Halls of Tribulation VII unlocks Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Vanguard, White Mage, Red Mage and Ranger.

Location:

bravely default 2 level 15 jobs location 7

The portal to Halls of Tribulation VII is located west of Holograd in between the two optional dungeons.

Boss Strategy:

Difficulty:

This is definitely one of the more difficult Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs battles, mostly because you’re fighting against a well balanced party.

First thing’s first, you have to take down Selene (White Mage) first, because if you don’t she can and will resurrect her entire party back to full health on her next turn. Roddy (Red Mage) should be next, because he can heal his party as well. If you can manage to do that, you’ve basically won.

If you’re not massively overleveled though, it’s easier said than done. Dag (Vanguard) will Enrage your damage dealers and make them focus on him, extending the battle. Selene and Roddy will both provide a huge amount of healing support that can be hard to get out in front of. If you aren’t capable of dealing enough damage, Selene will get healed back to full while you’re waiting on Dag’s Enrage taunt to wear off.

As a result, you should be prepared to hit Selene fast and hard. Her weaknesses are swords and dark. By this point in the game you probably have your preferred ways to deal damage. Just focus her down as quickly as you possibly can. Some great options are Red Mage sub-specialty 2 chaincasting Doomsday, Swordmaster Solid Stance, Thief Godspeed Strike and Phantom Burial Shroud.

If you can kill Selene before Dag enrages, you’ll probably be able to win the fight.

Lily (Ranger) doesn’t really have much impact on the fight, just don’t hit her with physical attacks because she counters with a decently strong full-party attack of her own.

Rewards:

Obviously, you get access to the Bravely Default 2 level 15 jobs for Vanguard, White Mage, Red Mage and Ranger.

Dag drops the Bullhead Shield, which casts Enrage when used, as well as the Bullhead Blade which grants access to all Vanguard passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Diamond Chestplate from him.

Selene drops the Maidenhair Staff, which gives access to all White Mage passive abilities. You can also rare steal a White Robe from her.

Roddy drops the Red Moon, which grants all Red Mage passive abilities. You can also rare steal a Hypnos Crown from him.

Lily drops a Wildwood Bow, which grants all Ranger passive abilities.

From the chest behind the bosses, you’ll obtain a Circlet.
