Of all the best builds in the game, Reina’s is actually probably the most straightforward and perhaps the most intended.

Whereas Vladyn’s best build is unarmed, despite being the gun character, and Wyatt’s best build is magic, despite being the warrior, the best Valdis Story Reina build is exactly what you would expect the holy monk’s best build to be: unarmed, magic hybrid.

Stat Allocation

The twist, of course, is that you should absolutely, 100%, no debate, go fullblown luck for your stat allocations. It’s the same way for any unarmed build on any character.

The reason is that there’s an accessory called Fighter’s Bandages, which increase your unarmed damage based on your max HP and allow fists to benefit from weapon bonus effects from magic.

You especially want this on your Valdis Story Reina Build, since she gets a spell in her Centurion soul that imbues weapons with divine magic.

Combine that with her Golden One tree, which makes all divine magic apply Reckoning, which makes enemies take drastically more damage from all sources, and you’ve got a combo you just don’t want to miss out on.

Equipment

For her other equipment, you’ll want the Monk’s Robes, which increase all stats by 3 and also increase Max HP, and you’re going to want to use the totem. Why? Well, the totem is still unarmed.

The way it works is when you do a heavy attack, Reina sticks a totem in the ground which fires off lasers at the nearest enemy based on whatever element you have equipped in your “Side” spell slot. Other than that, there is absolutely no difference between the totem and unarmed.

Skills

For your Valdis Story Reina build skills, you want to go down the right side of the Golden One line and take everything that buffs Reckoning. Other than that, you go full Monk to get powered up as a physical attacker. The basic strategy here is to power up your fists with the “Up” Centurion spell, throw down your totem, and then just go to town with physical attacks.
