Borderlands 3 Hex Grenade Traits
The Hex grenade, when thrown shoots out a long-lasting homing laser that deals tons of damage over time. It comes in several variants that cause the grenade to split into multiple grenades. This is important to know because each variant is better than the last. MIRV splits it into 3 grenades, Cloning splits it into 2, MIRV-Tacular splits it into 6 and Recurring… also splits it into 6. Obviously you want the Tacular or the Recurring variants, as those are easily the best.
This thing is a beast, especially if you get the Tacular or Recurring variants. It’s widely considered to be one of the most desirable grenades in the games and it’s considered to be the best-in-slot grenade option for most characters. It comes in Shock, Cryo and Radiation varieties. Getting a Tacular/Recurring Hex Grenade with the ideal element and anointment that you’re looking for can be kind of a struggle, but at least the mob who drops with bad boy drops it pretty regularly. So, getting one Hex grenade is not that big of a deal, but getting the perfect Hex grenade will be quite a farm.
Location
If you’re looking for a Hex Grenade in Borderlands 3, then you’ll be off to The Anvil on Eden-6. There’s no convenient fast travel location for this farm, but basically you’re killing one of Zer0’s crew mission targets called the Sky Bully. All you have to do is fight through The Anvil normally until you get to the open area called “The Yard”. Then, hook a left and go to the end of the passage there and on the second floor of that room you’ll find the Sky Bully, who you can then murder for his sweet, sweet grenade loot.
The Sky Bully himself is a relatively insignificant enemy who is very easy to kill and doesn’t pose much of a threat.
This ends up being a pretty fun farm for me, because my game is glitched and every time I load that area that dude who eats fingers starts delivering the dialog he gives at the end of his quest. Once a finger eater… always a finger eater…
Anyway, you’ll want to commit to farming this when you get over there, because like a lot of farms, without a convenient fast travel location, getting the kill and then quitting/reloading is the fastest thing you can do. Then you just have to run through two quick rooms to kill the Sky Bully again. If you’re committed to getting a perfect Hex grenade, you’re going to be murdering this guy a lot. Good luck.
Anyway, that about does it for how to get the Hex Grenade in Borderlands 3. Be sure to check out the Games Section for more content like this and also check out the Borderlands 3 Section for game guides for Borderlands including builds, tips, best guns, character reviews and more.
