★★★

Bravely Default 2 Thief Job Overview
Godspeed Strike is extraordinarily powerful and stealing is situationally useful. Those are the main things to keep in mind when it comes to the Bravely Default 2 Thief. As a combat class, it’s generally outclassed by other Bravely Default 2 jobs like the Monk, Swordmaster and Phantom but, as I mentioned, Godspeed Strike is exceptionally strong and spamming it is probably the best way to melt bosses until you get better strategies later in the game.

You’ll also want to be sure to pick up the thievery passives on at least one characters, because not only can you get free equipment from stealing from time to time, booster buns for a variety of stats are fairly common as rare steals, so if you have someone with the mug ability you’ll get a fairly decent supply of stat boosters throughout the game without very much effort.

Chapter Unlocked: 1

Specialties

Sleight of Hand
Gives “Steal X” abilities the additional bonus of being able to take a single strengthening effect from an enemy and apply it to the user.

Up to No Good
Defaulting no longer causes BP to increase, but all abilities that are usually performed using BP can be performed using MP, and the cost of “Steal X” abilities is halved.
