Recruitment – Fae Tactics Claudia

Claudia is acquired towards the middle of the game in Rohwan as part of the story.

Abilities – Fae Tactics Claudia

Ultra Skills

Like every other leader character in Fae Tactics Claudia gets both an Ultra Attack Skill and an Ultra Assist Skill. For Claudia, these are:

  • Ultra Attack: Witch’s Curse
Strikes all targets in range with a violent curse.
  • Ultra Assist: Mother’s Kiss
Increases the Max Hp of all allies.

EX Skill

Like other leaders in Fae Tactics Claudia can use a portion of her ultra orbs to perform an EX skill. For Claudia, the skill is:

  • Blink Strike: Unavoidable attack that follows up with a teleporting melee attack if possible. (Costs 2 Ultra)

Passive Bonuses

Like most characters in Fae Tactics Claudia has a variety of character-specific bonuses that she gets regardless of which weapon she’s using. For Claudia, these are:

  • Blink: Teleports to target location, passing through ally and enemy alike. +10% Evd.
  • Cripple Immune

Weapons – Fae Tactics Claudia

Claudia’s available Fae Tactics weapons are hte Magitech RifleDoran’s Sidearm, and the Hand of the Occluded.

Magitech Rifle

  • Water Element
  • Synergy
  • Wait Skill: Witch Ward
  • How to Unlock: Default Weapon

Review: Claudia’s default weapon is pretty standard. Nothing to write home about. Use it against Fire elemental enemies, but otherwise stick to her other weapons, both of which have great on-hit effects.

Doran’s Sidearm

  • Fire Element
  • Chain
  • Wait Skill: Witch Ward
  • How to Unlock: Unlocks from a story scene with Claudia after camping in Smaragden towards the middle of the game

Review: Claudia’s best weapon, as long as you’re not fighting against Water elemental enemies. Thanks to its passive Chain skill, which bounces all of Claudia’s attacks to up to 4 total enemies, it pumps out a lot of damage. The Chain skill even applies to Claudia’s ultra, which will devastate all enemies in a huge area every time she’s able to cast it.

Hand of the Occluded

  • Arcane Element
  • Splash
  • The unseen color
  • Wait Skill: Witch Ward
  • How to Unlock: Obtained by defeating the Wendigo late in the game

Review: A good backup if you’re facing off against Water-type enemies. The Splash effect isn’t quite as powerful or useful as the Chain effect, but it’s better than nothing.

Traits – Fae Tactics Claudia

fae tactics claudia traits

In Fae Tactics Claudia, like every other character, has 3 options when allocating Trait Points: Offense, Defense, and Special.

The bonuses she gets from each line are:

  • Offense: Witch’s Curse +Range
  • Defense: Mother’s Kiss +Hp
  • Special: Self Revive

Claudia’s traits are all amazing, and you’re going to want to max out every branch. That said, before level 60 where maxing everything out becomes possible, you’re definitely going to want to very quickly put 5 points into Special and then work towards maxing out Offense.

It’s very important to put 5 points into Special and Offense because that activates both of Claudia’s auras, which are invaluable in terms of both reviving allies and executing enemies.

If you have Claudia’s healing aura, every turn she revives any downed allies near her position. Likewise, with her Witch Aura, she saps off an execution point from any downed enemies nearby. Even if the auras are only level 5, the utility they provide is extremely useful.

The Mb Regen from the Defensive line is useful, but not nearly as good as the auras. Still, the boost for Mother’s Kiss is great because toward the end of the game, spamming Mother’s Kiss is one of the best ways to avoid getting a game over during lengthy boss fights.

Scroll Options – Fae Tactics Claudia

Claudia is good at almost every possible role except for tanking. With tht in mind, here are some great scroll options for Claudia:

  • ruinousscroll Fae Tactics Claudia Character Guide Ruinous Scroll: -X Def on Hit
It’s important to have someone on your team who can lower enemy defense because otherwise bosses will take you hours to defeat. If you’re using Claudia, that means you’re probably not using Payachin, who naturally lowers enemy defense. In that case, you may want to consider giving Claudia that utility via the Ruinous Scroll.
  • manastealscroll Fae Tactics Claudia Character Guide Mana Steal Scroll: Drain X Mb on Hit
You might want to consider equipping Claudia with the Mana Steal Scroll since two of her weapons passively hit enemies in an AoE. If you’re using her Fire Elemental weapon, which have innate chaining attacks, you can strip the Mb off of groups of enemies very quickly.
  • hopelessscroll Fae Tactics Claudia Character Guide Hopeless Scroll: Reduces Ultra Trigger by X
Because both of Claudia’s Ultras are extremely good, you might want to consider equipping her with a Hopeless Scroll so that you can use them more often. Claudia’s Ultra Orb requirement is already pretty low, and with a Hopeless Scroll you can probably use her Ultra almost every round.

Conclusion – Fae Tactics Claudia

Claudia is a pretty much a must-have for a lot of the game. She makes every fight she participates in infinitely easier. Every aspect of her arsenal contributes to her being by far the best character in the game.

She has two convenient auras, each of which comes in handy in every battle. She has a healing aura that passively heals and revives all nearby allies every round, and she also has a passive damaging aura that deals decent damage and reduces the death counter for wounded enemies every round.

Claudia’s auras alone would make her the best character in the game on their own merit, but then in addition to that her weapon choices are exceptional. She has an Arcane gun that deals damage in a splash AoE, a Fire gun that bounces, and a fairly standard Water gun that rounds out her elemental coverage.

Her offensive special ability and her assist special ability are both probably the best special abilities in the game. Her offensive special ability attacks all enemies in a huge AoE, activates her weapon effects (i.e. Chaining for the Fire Gun or Splash for the Arcane Gun) and has a high chance to inflict the relevant elemental curse (i.e. Haunt or Burn).

Claudia’s assist special ability heals and permanently increases the maximum HP for all party members and it’s probably the best defensive ability in the game. It’s indispensable during boss fights.

All of this combines to make Claudia easily the best of the best when it comes to the best Fae Tactics characters. She has no rival.

That about covers it when it comes to the Fae Tactics Claudia Character Guide. Be sure to check out the Games Section or the Main Page for more guides like this. Click here for more content related to Fae Tactics.
