Ultra Skills
Like every other leader character in Fae Tactics Orowantus gets both an Ultra Attack Skill and an Ultra Assist Skill. For Orowantus, these are:
- Ultra Attack: Terra Rain

EX Skill
Like other leaders in Fae Tactics Orowantus can use a portion of her ultra orbs to perform an EX skill. For Orowantus, the skill is:

Passive Bonuses
Like most characters in Fae Tactics Orowantus has a variety of character-specific bonuses that she gets regardless of which weapon she’s using. For Orowantus, these are:
- +25% Crit Damage
- X% Chance to Curse with Weapon Element*

Orowantus’s Fae Tactics weapons are the Family Keepsake, Kim’s Emerald Relic, and the Cursed Arrowhead.

Review: The passive True Sight on this weapon is probably the best thing about Orowantus as a character, since evasion rates in Fae Tactics are so ridiculously high. Earth isn’t a particularly useful element for most of the game except in the early part of the game up through where you fight Pazuzu and the Wind boss. Orowantus shines in those maps thanks to this weapon.

Review: A lot of other characters (Claudia, Peony, Matilda) do a lot better with the Arcane element, although Orowantus does have a decent chance to inflict Haunt.
Arcane is kind of a weird choice for Orowantus because you’d only want to equip it against Fire enemies that are strong against her Earth and Ice weapons. So it’s more of a backup weapon than anything. The thing is, though, if you’re fighting Fire enemies, you’re probably not going to want to use Orowantus at all.
Cursed Arrowhead

- How to Unlock: When fighting the 3 Gorgon sisters towards the middle of the game, win the battle by subduing all three rather than defeating them. I.e. Knock them out, but don’t kill them.
Review: The Starfall property on this weapon is basically a damage bonus. It increases your vertical attack position which tends to activate the Bird’s Eye damage bonus. That’s great and all, but the Family Keepsake can activate the Bird’s Eye damage bonus just by climbing to a higher position and it deals even more damage by inflicting poison.
Since the Family Keepsake also gets True Sight (which is extremely useful), I’d say it edges out the Cursed Arrowhead. Unless, of course, you’re fighting Water or Earth type enemies that are weak to Ice.
Traits – Fae Tactics Orowantus
In Fae Tactics Orowantus, like every other character, has 3 options when allocating Trait Points: Offense, Defense, and Special.
The bonuses she gets from each line are:
- Offense: Terra Rain Chain
- Defense: Terra Heart +Mb
- Special: +Range
With a ranged DPS character like Orowantus you’re obviously going to want to invest all your points into the Offense line. Not only is the extra attack useful, the increased chance to curse is also great and the end-of-line bonus, which makes her ultra chain to nearby enemies, is extremely useful.
After that, you should invest in the Special line purely for the +Range you get after investing 20 levels worth of points. The Jump height and Reaction chance are almost completely useless, but then again, so is Orowantus’s entire Defense line, so consider that.
Scroll Options – Fae Tactics Orowantus
Orowantus’s main defining feature is her ability to inflict curses, so that’s something to keep in mind when selecting which scroll you want to equip on her. With that in mind, here are some great scroll options for Orowantus:
If you’ve maxed out Orowantus’s Offense Trait, a max level Cursed Weapon scroll will push your chance to Curse to over 100% with most weapons, practically guaranteeing that you’ll inflict curses with every attack.
If you don’t feel you need a higher curse chance, you might consider the Hex Breaker Scroll, which significantly increases damage to cursed targets. For Orowantus, this basically means that her second attack on the same target will deal almost double damage.
Since Orowantus gets a passive crit damage bonus, you might consider boosting that up even further by equipping an Exploit Scroll. At Rank 5, you’ll increase Orowantus’s crit damage by an additional 100%, bringing her total crit damage bonus to a whopping 125%.
Conclusion – Fae Tactics Orowantus
Orowantus may be the lowest rated team member on this Fae Tactics characters tier list, but she’s not horrible. She has good range and is capable of inflicting useful curses with a high affliction rate. Her damage is fairly high as well.
The main thing Orowantus has going against her is that her core element, Earth, is not generally very useful except against Electric enemies, which are fairly rare. Her other weapons are underwhelming. As an Arcane element, she’s just a weaker version of Claudia without any healing utility.
Her final weapon, an Ice elemental weapon with starfall (100% bird’s eye bonus on every shot) is fairly powerful but you have so many options for Ice between Peony, Red and Tom Tildrum that it’s hard to justify a spot for Orowantus even on Ice-heavy maps.
Altogether, she’s mostly outclassed by Erisolde when it comes to being a ranged damage dealer, and her elemental coverage is outclassed by other party members as well. When your roster is still small at the start of the game, Orowantus is pretty good.
While I do think she’s the least useful of the Fae Tactics characters, I don’t think she’s horrible. Just generally outclassed.
