10. Warlord

Warlord is just a beefy assault rifle. It does a ton of damage and has a chance to not consume ammo. There’s nothing particularly special about it in terms of abilities or traits, it’s just a very solid assault rifle with high stats.

Good for every character. Warlord drops off Billy the Anointed in the Jakob’s Estate.

9. Maggie

Maggie, like the Warlord, is not particularly special or unique, it’s just a very powerful masher pistol. It’s like a little handheld shotgun and it melts enemies down with ease. Very good, solid weapon.

No frills, just blows up enemies quick. Maggie drops off Tremendous Rex in the Cistern of Slaughter. But don’t farm that, that’s an awful farm. Just hope you get one as a world drop.

8. Carrier

Carrier is basically the same gun as the Warlord with a little twist. Every time you do damage, the bullet ricochets off the enemy, hits a wall, and then homes in and strikes the enemy again.

This thing is capable of clearing out whole rooms of enemies with ease. It drops off the Katagawa Ball in Skywell-27.

6. Ion Cannon

Ion Cannon, or as the game likes to spell it, ION CANNON, is a 100% drop from Jack’s Secret in the Moxxi’s Heist DLC. It’s a guaranteed drop and it’s pretty much the best heavy weapon you’re going to find.

Its only real contender for “best heavy weapon” is the Scourge, and the Scourge really isn’t as good. It deals huge damage. Like 22k+ damage per shot. The only downside is it requires a brief charging time between each shot.

The charge time is very brief. It’s not really even a penalty at all.

5. Lyuda

Lyuda is another easily acquired weapon. You get one for free if you complete all of Zer0’s crew missions. It’s a long range autosniper with incredible accuracy.

This thing pumps out huge amounts of damage very quickly. It’s basically a very powerful assault rifle with extremely long range, almost no recoil, and near-perfect accuracy.

4. Rowan’s Call

Rowan’s Call is an assault rifle that gets 2 ammo back with every crit and ricochets 2 bullets. It’s a fantasy crowd clear weapon, and if you happen to get one of the cryo variety, it slows and freezes every enemy in the room very quickly.

While it’s not always the best boss clearing weapon (though if you reliably hit weak points, it basically has infinite ammo), it’s one of the best crowd clearing weapons in the game.

Rowan’s Call drops off Red Rain in the last round of the Slaughterstar 3000. But that’s an awful farm. Just hope you get a Rowan’s Call as a random drop.

3. Queen’s Call/King’s Call

Queen’s Call and King’s Call are the exact same gun, just with different elemental options. Queen’s Call comes in Cryo, Radiation and Corrosive varieties, while the King’s Call comes in Fire and Shock.

They both have the same effect, which is that on crit 3 bullets are returned to the magazine and 3 bullets ricochet off the target.

These bullets are capable of hitting the same target they ricocheted off of, resulting in 4x damage. This is a great gun on every character and for some (Fl4k, Amara) it’s downright broken.

2. The Lob

The Lob is pretty much the best mobbing weapon in the game. It’s not good for flying enemies or fast moving enemies, but anything that’s on the ground and stands in place long enough to get hit by one of The Lob’s bullets will melt very, very quickly.

It shoots 3 slow moving orbs that don’t seem to do any direct damage, but do a huge amount of damage in a small AoE. The orbs pierce through enemies, so you can clear out a ton of enemies in one shot if they’re clumped together.

It’s even capable of melting any boss that doesn’t fly, move fast, or get too far away. Traunt? Dead. Aurelia? Dead. You get the idea. It drops off Graveward.

1. Cutsman

Cutsman is not only one of the strongest and most versatile weapons when it comes to the best Borderlands 3 guns, it’s also one of the easiest to get. It drops off a rare enemy spawn named Borman Nates in the Meridian Outskirts.

He’s right next to the fast travel point, he’s always there, and he drops the gun often. Super easy farm. What makes this gun cool is it shoots two bullets tied together by a laser and it pierces enemies.

It’s good for bosses, mobs, everything except, weirdly, Graveward, because the bullets often don’t travel far enough to hit his body.

It comes in Fire, Corrosive and Shock varieties and you should probably pick up one of each. Definitely one of the best Borderlands 3 guns.
