Bravely Default 2 Ranger Job Overview
In Bravely Default 2 Ranger for the mid-game and its skills are actually quite powerful, if not a little MP demanding. Its passives are weak, so if you’re not actually in the Ranger job, you don’t get much out of it. There’s not too much to say about it, you’ll probably level it around the mid-game and then upgrade to one of the other Bravely Default 2 jobs when one becomes available and never look back.

The more successive actions the user performs in a turn, the more damage they will inflict.
Apex Predator
“X Slayer” abilities are more powerful, and will earn one BP for every critical hit inflicted and enemy killed.

Job Level | Name | Description |
1 | Bug Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Insect family monsters. |
2 | Plant Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Plant family monsters. |
3 | Shadowbind | Attempt to paralyze a target. |
4 | Beast Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Beast family monsters. |
5 | Aquatic Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Aquatic family monsters. |
6 | Counter-Savvy | The user is always able to evade physical counter abilities. Does not apply to magic and certain other abilities. |
7 | Quickfire Flurry | Perform 5-8 quick physical attacks on random targets. Extra damage will be dealt to paralyzed foes. |
8 | Humanoid Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Humanoid family monsters. |
9 | Who Dares Wins | (Passive) The user becomes more likely to inflict critical hits, and also immune to blindness when BP are at one or higher. |
10 | Sloth Hunter | Perform two physical attacks that are extremely effective against slowed targets. |
11 | Undead Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Undead family monsters. |
12 | Demon Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Demon family monsters. |
13 | Spirit Slayer | Perform a physical attack on a target. Particularly effective against Spirit family monsters. |
14 | Bow Lore | (Passive) Bow aptitude is increased to S. |
15 | Grand Barrage | Perform 5-8 quick physical attacks on all targets. Extra damage will be dealt to paralyzed foes. |
