Borderlands 3 Cutsman Traits

The Cutsman is an SMG that’s considered at this point to be a staple of most people’s loadouts. It does a tremendous amount of damage and pierces through enemies, allowing you to clear out multiple enemies that are clumped together at once. The gimmick of this weapon is that it fires two shots connected by a laser and when it strikes an enemy, they simply melt.

It’s a top tier gun and one of the many reasons it’s so popular is that it’s a very easy farm. It comes from the unique mob Borman Nates, who’s on top of an easily accessible platform in the Meridian Outskirts, which is the first area of Promethea. It comes in Shock/Corrosive/Fire variants and if you’re looking for a weapon to help you farm for other weapons, Cutsman is going to be your best option. Highly recommend this be the first endgame gun you farm for simply because it’ll make farming for additional guns that are more specific to your build that much easier, as it’s very easy to acquire.

Location

The Cutsman is extremely easy to find. It drops of a unique mob named Borman Nates, an obvious parody of famous Psycho villain Norman Bates. He runs at you with a knife and tries to stab you. Not a hard fellow to kill at all, which is great because you’re going to be killing him over and over again.

As far as where Borman Nates is located, he’s in the Miridian Outskirts, conveniently located on a platform right nearby the fast travel location. All you have to do is go to the indicated area, ride the elevator up, go up a flight of stairs and boom, Borman Nates is trying to stab you in the face.

See the green market on the map? That’s just a dead Claptrap or something (I forget, maybe it’s a radio tower), but that’s where the elevator to ride to the platform is located. Once you’re up there and you get in the vicinity of the red X, you’ll be able to find Borman Nates very easily.
