Bravely Default 2 Shieldmaster Job Overview
In Bravely Default 2 Shieldmaster is the main specialized tanking class. It has more tanking tools and defensive power than the Vanguard at the expense of lower offense, and while it’s not quite as defensively powerful as the Bastion, the Bastion is lacking any kind of taunt or bodyguarding ability, so the Shieldmaster tends to be the de facto job for protecting your party from damage.

The Shieldmaster’s Protect Ally specialty seems guaranteed and limitless. Having a Shieldmaster in your party will definitely increase the survivability of your party and the nature of its protection skills pairs well with the Swordmaster’s Fluid Stance.

Chapter Unlocked: 2
