Rating – Bravely Default 2 Vanguard

★★★

Bravely Default 2 Vanguard Job Overview
In Bravely Default 2 Vanguard is your first tanking class and it’s the most offense-oriented tanking class available. It gains access to several decent physical and earth-elemental attacks, as well as a taunt and a handful of debuff skills that reduce enemies’ offensive power. It can get extremely high attack power once it’s mastered thanks to its Attention Seeker specialty.

Ultimately, Vanguard tends to be outclassed as a tank by Shieldmaster later in the game, and its signature ability, Enrage, is available on-demand by using a late game shield, making it difficult to find a place for in an endgame party. However, for the early and mid game, it’s quite effective, and even in the late game it has some utility due to its high attack power.
