Overview & Review- Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero Job
In Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero is Kasuga’s main job. He has another job that’s unique to him, Freelancer, but once Hero unlocks, it becomes the job that’s most associated with Kasuga himself.
The Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero job has a lot of interesting tools, making it a very versatile job to use. It has above average stats in every category, it has powerful single-target attacks, strong area of effect attacks, team-wide buffs and a complete arsenal of healing skills.
In terms of classic RPG archetypes, the Hero job is most similar to a Paladin.
Compared to other jobs in the game, the Hero definitely performs well. With its wide variety of useful skills, it’s useful the entire game. Its final weapon is also very good, considerably beefing up its normal attacks by adding several extra hits.
The only thing it’s really missing is a target-all full-screen clearing attack, but between Kasuga learning one on his own in the form of Essence of Orbital Laser, and the AoE attacks of the Hero job, that’s not as huge of an issue as it might be for some other characters.
Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero Best Weapon
The best weapon for the Hero job in Yakuza Like a Dragon is the Legendary Hero’s Bat EX EX. Like all of the other best weapons in the game, you get this weapon by upgrading a basic weapon at the Romance Workshop in the Commercial District of Ijincho.
The basic weapon you need to upgrade is called the Self-proclaimed Hero’s Bat, which you acquire when you unlock the Hero job as part of the story. In order to finish upgrading it, you’ll also need the Dragon Soul Bat, which you can win in the Sotenbori Battle Arena on the 30th Floor, or buy from Le Marche in Kamurocho for 10 million yen.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero Accessory
As with every other job in Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero gets access to its own unique accessory that boosts the job experience gained while you’re in that job.
The Hero job’s accessory is a little bit special, just like Kasuga himself. Unlike the other accessories, the Dragonfish Tenugui boosts Job Experience for every class, but it can only be equipped by Kasuga. It’s generally considered to be the job accessory for Hero and Freelancer because apart from the Dragonfish Tenugui, there is no other way to boost the Job Experience for those two classes.
The Dragonfish Tenugui is located in Kamurocho in Chapter 15 inside Lullaby Mahjong. It’s inside a gold safe. This building also contains a Tranquil Tenugui, so make sure to collect both.
Character Skills – Yakuza Like a Dragon Hero Job
Every job in Yakuza Like a Dragon has two specific Character Skills, which, once learned, can be used by that character no matter which job class they’ve been assigned.
For the Hero job, the character skills are:
Peerless Resolve: Kasuga’s tenacity recovers HP and allows him to survive a hit that would otherwise knock him out
Indomitable Courage: Removes all allies’ status ailments by demonstrating heroic perseverance. The success rate improves as Kasuga’s Charisma increases.
Peerless Resolve is somewhat useful, especially in the True Final Millennium Tower (the game’s level 99 bonus dungeon), where enemies can easily one-shot your party members. Indomitable Courage doesn’t have much use. Status effects are rarely a real concern in Yakuza Like a Dragon, but it can be situationally useful once in a blue moon.
